About

About this blog

burst of intention is a blog that focuses on clearing the clutter in our lives to make room for the stuff that truly matters. It’s about taking a time-out and asking ourselves: Am I taking steps every day to live an intentional life?

I started asking myself this question in 2015 after an army of spiders held my bedroom hostage for two weeks, and it’s changed the way I handle my time, my finances and my stuff. This blog is part budgeting advice, part minimalism challenge and all honesty as I chronicle my journey to embrace a more intentional life.

I’d love it if you joined me!

My name is Amanda, and I love writing things that people love to read—particularly if it’s about minimalism, organization, or self-deprecating humor. The love of my life, Jasper, is a 3-ounce cockatiel who likes to whistle “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and often shows up in the photos on this blog. Want to chat?
